“id is an album that quietly sparkles with deep-space lullabies and headphone techno. Most tracks are remiscent of the richly hued and kaleidoscopic designs of a Cubist painting, they are busy stretches of sonic swirls, riding a shuffling groove. But the jewel in the album´s crown belongs to “Sofdu med ljosid a,” a gorgeous digital epic that captures the heart with its warm washes of muted synths. Like a hot spike burning through ice, the song cuts deep and betrays a sadness so lovely, it hurts. At present, Biggi has yet to crack the North American market. Until he does, id remains a tiny gem tucked away in a cove of obscurity, making it a valuable find.”

biggi joins gisli´s live band

biggi recently joined gisli’s live band. gisli is another icelandic solo artist who emerged on the UK scene from norway after 10 years of slackering around in oslo. he is now signed to EMI and is currently awaiting the release of his second album, buildups and breakdowns, in july. expect to see biggi storming the stage with gisli armed with his rickenbacker. tour dates to be announced later.

biggi writes and co-produces silvia night

icelandic startlet silvia night recently released her first solo album in iceland, and her record company Reykjavik Records, are currently working on starting her international career. biggi’s relationship with silvia has always been shrouded in mystery, after she publicly announced that they where an item in the first series of her television show. he always denied the rumours. now, we find, that biggi not only co-wrote most of the songs on her album, but co-produced it as well with sölvi blöndal from quarashi.
